JTH HIRE PAGE - DRY HIRE
Dry Hire is an industry term for the 'unmanned' hire of equipment. Dry Hire means that you hire equipment only without any sort of engineering assistance and you will need to collect the equipment and return it to us at the end of the hire period. Or for an additional fee (based on Mileage Rates), we can arrange to deliver to you and collect at the end of the hire period.
If you want to Dry Hire, we advise you to ensue that you have the ability to competently operate the equipment. There is little point in you hiring a complex mixing desk if you have little knowledge of how to get the best from it - you could end up spending hours figuring out how to make it work! If you have reasonable technical skills though, Dry Hire provides a very economical method adding expensive equipment to your production that you may otherwise not be able to afford!
We do of course provide Dry Hire on items as basic as Microphones, Stands and Cables. Please note that we do not supply 'freebies'. If you want to hire a Speaker, hire a Speaker. I you want to hire a cable, hire a cable. If you need a Speaker and a Cable, you will need to hire both.
For Dry Hire you will need to satisfy certain identity requirements - we like to ensure the safe return of our equipment and before we release any equipment, you will need to provide positive proof of who you are and where you live. We will also ask you to read our full Terms & Conditions of Hire and provide a dated signature to indicate your acceptance of those Terms & Conditions.
We will need to see two forms of ID, one of which must be a Photo ID, such as a current Driving Licence or EU Passport and the other must include your current residential address - this usually takes the form of a recent (less than 3 months old) utility bill or bank statement. If you cannot satisfy these requirements, we will not be able to release equipment you.
All Dry Hire fees must be paid prior to the release of any equipment to you. We accept payment in Cash, by Cheque (subject to clearance terms) and we also accept payment by PayPal. We have no method of accepting direct payment by Credit or Debit card, but you can use these to pay us via PayPal.
Below is an Inventory of some of the equipment we have available for Dry Hire - if what you need is not listed, please contact us and ask, we can probably supply it for you. Prices indicated are for ONE DAY of Hire. Weekend Hire is DAY PRICE x 1.5; Week Hire is DAY PRICE x 3.
